Sustainable Farm Dams Workshop

Join us for a paddock walk and talk to learn about managing farm dams for productivity and biodiversity benefits.

Officers from Council, Melbourne Water and Agriculture Victoria will demonstrate and discuss how simple modifications to your dam can:

  • improve water quality for stock gains

  • provide habitat for biodiversity

  • reduce evaporation rates

  • reduce sedimentation and maintenance

  • reduce greenhouse gas emissions from your dam

Please bring a hat, sunscreen and closed-in walking shoes. Wet-weather gear may also be required. We will be be walking in an undulating paddock, please contact us to discuss accessibility.
